Bio
Stu Neal is an Entrepreneur, a Business Educator, Author, and Professional Public Speaker with over thirty years experience in business and management, both in the private sector and in the public sector with municipal government. Mr. Neal’s background includes business development, sales, and marketing on local, state, and national levels. He has enjoyed a lifetime of experience as an Entrepreneur as the owner (or partner) of over two dozen separate small businesses since he started his first business at age twenty-one.
Mr. Neal has an extensive background with education and training, including curriculum development and teaching of market specific sales programs, market analysis, employee relations, entrepreneurship, and small business startup and management. Mr. Neal has had the honor of receiving numerous awards during his career for contributions to the business education community including the “1990 Award of Merit” by the Maine Vocational Association.
From 2000 to 2006, he was the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Development with the Community College Workforce Alliance in Virginia.
Mr. Neal was listed in the Who’s Who in Professional Speaking from 1998 to 2003 as a nationally recognized public speaker on entrepreneurial related subjects. He has appeared as a local guest expert on CNN’s “Local Edition” and Richmond’s RIC-TV “Business Connections”, and is a frequently requested speaker on small business issues throughout Central Virginia. Mr. Neal is presently listed in the 2007 edition of the Marquis “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who in Business and Finance.”
In 2002, Mr. Neal’s first novel, DISC, was published. He is also author of a newspaper column, Talking Business, which began in 2003 and is published monthly in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. That column is specific to small business related issues and content, and has been quoted nationally from the west coast to Florida.
Mr. Neal is President of Interactive Educational Concepts, Inc, and Principal of the SMN Consulting Group, both located in Hanover County, Virginia. |
